FIRST COMMUNION BASIC PRAYERS (Follow-Up)

This past week, we evaluated our First Communion students on the four “
Basic Prayers” that they should already know: the Sign of the Cross, the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be.  Some of our students do know all of their prayers well.  However, many of them still need to work on learning parts of some or all of the prayers.

Please make sure that your child continues to pray these prayers every day.  The best way that our students can learn these prayers by heart is to say them on a daily basis.  And even if your child knows all of their prayers, they need to continue to pray them every day so that they do not forget them.  We strongly encourage you to pray these prayers together with your child daily!  As mentioned previously, they need to know these prayers by heart as they prepare for their First Reconciliation and First Communion, and they will also continue to use these prayers as they grow in their faith.

We will be doing a follow-up evaluation on the Basic Prayers later on in the year to ensure that all of our students know them.

Thank you, and God bless you.
