We had a successful first few weeks of classes, and we thank you for your support and cooperation as we continue on this Catechetical year.
We would just like to remind you of a few guidelines of utmost importance, as discussed at the Parent Orientation:
Students should come dressed comfortably, but appropriate for class and Church.  In other words, all students are expected to dress modestly.
Students are NOT allowed to wear “short” shorts or “short” skirts (must be knee-length), tank tops, sleeveless attire, gym shorts, sweat pants, leggings, ripped jeans, flip-flops, crocs, or distracting hair pieces (large bows, animal ears, etc.).  Sports uniforms are also not permitted.  Any student who continuously comes to class improperly dressed may not be allowed into their class and may be asked to go home, which could potentially count as an absence.

Please remember that if it is the first or second year of preparation for a sacrament, we allow up to five (5) absences for the year, regardless of the reason, in terms of counting the year towards sacramental preparationThere are no excused or unexcused absences.  A student with poor attendance and/or excessive tardiness may not have the current year count towards sacramental preparation.  If a student is absent, the office may send a courtesy email to the parents to inform them of the number of absences their child has up to that point.

For students in grades 1-6, please remember that parents need to come to the center area in the parking lot to pick up their child when their class is announced.  Students will only be released in the center area and must identify the person picking them up to their catechist or one of the CLs. All students in these grades will be released ONLY to an appropriate adult and NOT to an older sibling.  Also, please remember that
no parents are allowed to stand, remain, or come up onto the patio area during dismissal.  Should you wish to speak with us at the end of class, please wait until dismissal is completed, and we will be more than happy to assist you afterwards.

All students received their books in class from their catechist.  The book must be brought to class every week.  Students also need to bring a pencil or pen, along with any other supplies requested by their Catechist.  Only drawstring or canvas bags can be used to carry books and supplies.  Regular school book bags are NOT permitted.

Please remember that students may NOT bring any food or drinks, as they are not allowed inside the classrooms.  In addition, gum chewing is not permitted.

Once classes for the catechetical year begin in September, NO changes will be allowed to a child’s class day or class assignment.  There will be NO exceptions to this rule.  Students received their class assignment at the Welcome Orientation, which cannot be changed whatsoever

All of the above guidelines are taken from our “Religious Education Handbook,” which contains all the procedures that will be followed this year.  If you have not, please make sure to read the
Religious Education Handbook on our website at, under the “GENERAL CLASS INFO” tab.
Please be sure to also check our website,, frequently for any announcements or new information regarding your child’s Religious Education classes, including class outlines.  The website will be our primary conduit of communicating information to you.  Also, please check your emails on a regular basis for any important information and reminders we may send throughout the year.  Remember that we will be sending the majority of our emails through MailChimp.

Thank you, and God bless you.
