RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASS INFORMATION (2025--2026)

CLASSES OFFERED IN THE PROGRAM
The St. Kevin Religious Education Program offers the following classes:
Continuing Faith Formation classes ... Grades 1 to 8
Sacramental Preparation classes for Baptism ... Ages 7 to 17
Sacramental Preparation classes for First Communion ... Grades 2 and up
(must complete two (2) consecutive years of these classes in order to celebrate First Communion)
Sacramental Preparation classes for Confirmation ... Grades 7 and up
(must complete two (2) consecutive years of these classes in order to celebrate Confirmation)
CLASS DAYS
Classes take place on:
(choose one day)
Tuesdays: 6:30 pm -- 7:45 pm
Wednesdays: 6:30 pm -- 7:45 pm
Saturdays: 9:30 am -- 10:45 am
Classes for those in 7th grade & up who have NOT yet received Baptism and/or First Communion are offered ONLY on the following day:
Saturdays: 9:30 am -- 10:45 am
*There are limits to the number of students in each specific class on each specific day. If you decide to register at a later date, some classes may be closed at the time of registration.
PLEASE CAREFULLY CONSIDER WHICH DAY YOU WILL REGISTER YOUR CHILD(REN) FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION. ONCE CLASSES BEGIN IN SEPTEMBER, NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE WHATSOEVER.
SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION
See "General Sacrament Information" under the Registration tab.
WE WOULD LIKE TO EMPHASIZE THAT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION DOES NOT SIMPLY INVOLVE BRINGING YOUR CHILD TO CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENTS. IT CONSISTS OF CONTINUOUS FORMATION IN THE FAITH THAT NEVER ENDS WITH THE CELEBRATION OF A SACRAMENT. THE PROGRAM OFFERS FAITH FORMATION CLASSES FROM FIRST THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE SO THAT YOUR CHILD(REN) MAY CONTINUOUSLY GROW IN HIS/HER KNOWLEDGE OF OUR FAITH AS WELL AS THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST. OPPORTUNITIES ARE ALSO OFFERED FOR CHILDREN TO BECOME INVOLVED IN THE PARISH THROUGH A NUMBER OF MINISTRIES, SUCH AS MUSIC MINISTRY, ALTAR SERVERS, AND LECTORS.
